Makna dan fungsi tindak tutur ungkapan “santabe ta” dalam masyarakat: Kajian sosiolinguistik

Abstrak

This study aims to identify and analyze the meaning and function of the speech act of “Santabe Ta” in the Bolo community. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model, which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The findings reveal that “Santabe Ta” is used in various contexts such as greeting, requesting, reprimanding, and expressing sincerity. This expression functions as a directive, expressive, and commissive speech act that strengthens politeness, social harmony, and mutual respect in Bima’s communication patterns. The study contributes to enriching sociolinguistic studies by presenting an analysis of local expressions that are rarely explored. These findings are useful for integrating local expressions into language and cultural education to foster awareness and appreciation of Indonesia’s linguistic diversity.
