For Reviewers

Peer reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and credibility of the Journal of Language and Literacy Learning (J3L). Below are the guidelines and responsibilities for reviewers.

1. Review Process

  • J3L applies a double-blind peer review system.
  • Reviewers will receive an invitation by email and may accept or decline the assignment.
  • Reviews must be submitted through the journal’s online platform within the assigned deadline.
  • The editorial team may request revisions or clarifications from reviewers.

2. Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
  • Evaluate the manuscript’s originality, clarity, methodology, and contribution to the field.
  • Provide constructive and respectful feedback.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential bias.

3. Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers are expected to assess the following:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Scientific rigor and methodology
  • Significance of findings and contribution to the field
  • Clarity of language, structure, and references

4. Review Outcomes

Reviewers will be asked to recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept Submission
  • Revisions Required (Minor or Major)
  • Reject Submission

5. Recognition and Acknowledgment

J3L highly values the contributions of its reviewers. We provide certificates upon request and may publicly acknowledge outstanding reviewers annually.
